Hello my crafty friends!
Today is a very special day and I am so very excited to share with you all the introduction of my youtube channel for paper-crafting videos. Let me just say, the launch of this channel was a journey in itself and I am still and will be for some time coming, actively learning the ropes of this new and exciting feature for CityGal Papeterie.
I will include here the featured schedule and other important tidbits of the launch. I apologize for this being quite a long post but I don’t want to miss anything!
I am fully aware of all the hiccups and flaws, if you will, that are sprinkled about the first videos. I know that as I continue I will (hopefully!) get better and eventually be able to upgrade such things as my camera and microphone (I literally have to use an audio note via my cell) and I hope to soon sound like I am not in a closet since I can only capture audio if my son is napping or I actually hide in the closet! Lighting and other video qualities will improve as I can improve equipment but for now I am starting as all or at least most others have started.
For each video posted there will be a corresponding blog posted on or about the same day as the upload. The blog post will include supply and measurement details, as well as, additional stills for each project. I do still work full-time so I am totally stretching my time but hey you do what you can when it is something you LOVE!
The feature schedule is as follows:
Margarita Mondays: Vegetarian and Eco themed cards
Taco Tuesdays: Latino and Spanish cards
What’up Wednesdays: Viewers requests, inspired cards (Quote, book, song, etc) and some art journaling
Throwback Thursdays: 80’s, 90’s and vintage themed cards
Fresh Fridays: Urban and NYC themed cards
All features will be available every other week and so the video themes will be as posted below…
Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Week 2: Tuesday and Thursday
Week 3: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Week 4: Tuesday, Thursday…..and so on
I mention this because it will matter for viewers requests or any challenges or giveaways that are posted (YESSSS I SAID THAT!!!) Otherwise you can tune in whenever you’d like!
Now to introduce the first ever video:
Margarita Monday: DIY Beets illustrated card
For this card I decided to go with a handmade illustration and simple supplies.
Inspiration for this card came truly from my good friend and fellow vegetarian Monica (HEY GIRL!) And we most certainly LOVE OUR BEETS and our music too of course lol. I hope you enjoy the creative process depicted in the video (insert link).
